Community Engagement

At the Pier, we passionately believe that the most important investment we can make is in the lives of people. For this reason, the priority of our heart investment, financial investment, and time investment is in the lives of people; both locally, nationally, and globally. On a local level, we believe it is important to meet people where they are at. Both directly through the Pier, or through a number of community and ministry partnerships, we invest in food service programs, spiritual care, youth and children services and support, as well as numerous support and counselling programs. For more information or support, please check out the available ministries below.

Common Ground is a community  ministry which cares for those in our community on an everyday basis. From Monday to Friday, 10:30am- 12:30pm, we provide encouragement, devotions, prayer, and nourishment to whoever wants to come. In addition, through Common Ground we are able to meet the needs of our community in a practical way.

Common Ground is a great way to connect with our community family. If you would like to know more about how you can be involved in this ministry, or would like to connect with one of our ministry assistants, feel free to send us email an email here, or call us at 613.498.7729

Loaves & Fishes

Loaves and Fishes was founded on the belief that in the sharing of bread a community is built, where barriers between people vanish, where dignity and respect flourish, where service and acceptance unite, and where warmth and understanding prevail. Loaves and Fishes is not only a place to eat but also a caring and social environment.

Sunday Supper

Every third Sunday of each month we have the privilege of providing supper for those in our community. In partnership with other downtown churches, local restaurants and supporters, and in support of Loaves and Fishes, we connect with those in our community to provide not only a great meal, but interaction, laughter, and care.

The Sunday suppers are great opportunities for all of our community to rally around, and provide for others in our community.
